WGRZ TV 2 Highlights Chess Kids

On Monday, July 25, 2011 Please watch the morning show between 5am and 6am and evening telecast between 6pm and 7pm on WGRZ - TV 2 with Reporter Kevin Oneil who has highlighted The Archangel 8 Chess Academy and its chess players pictured above are 2011 Mayor's Cup, K-12 Scholastic Champion - Samuel E. Santora, 2011 Mayor's Cup, K-6th Scholastic Champion - James W. Lyon, The Urban Queens Chess Team, Laura E. Cohn, Ruby Z. Soudant, Isabelle Longfellow and Alexis Schlaak all participated in a chess challenge as well as educating the public on how girls and students learn to play.

SAVE THE DATE, Saturday, July 30, 2011 join us for Learn to play chess at the Audubon Branch Library located on Audubon Parkway in Amherst, NY. Students of all ages will learn how to better themselves in chess. This is all part of the National Chess Day Chess Tournament coing to the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library on Sunday, October9, 2011 featuring an All Girls/Female Chess Tournament.
