As part of the Buffalo Bicentennial War of 1812 celebration, this week will feature five Naval ships in docked in Buffalo, NY. We will have 12 uniformed Sailors from the ships, the DeWert Frigate, the Hamilton Cruiser, Quebec Deville Frigate and The Brigate Niagara. They will play an 3 exhibition games against local scholastic players.

Please get this information to all chess players who may have an interest and chess players in the armed forces.

Two Days, 5 Games, World Chess Federation (FIDE) and USCF Rated, Game 120; d5,
USCF Membership Required.

Early Bird Deadline $60 by August 4th, $75 by September 8, 2012
$80 thereafter cash at the door. No checks accepted on site.

FIDE Open Cash Prizes GTD$$1000, $500, $400 and $200, U2100 Class Prizes $250 and $175.

FIDE Open Schedule: FIDE rules state that players are not allowed to be late and must make the move on the board first, then write on score sheet. FIDE Games start on Saturday at 10 am, 2:30 pm and 7 pm, Sunday at 9:30 am and 2:15 pm.
Saturday Only Games Schedule for U1800, U1400, and U1000 will start at 10 am,
12:30 pm, 3 pm and 5:30 pm.

U1000 Trophies awarded to Top 4 overall, Top U800, and Top U600.

U1800 Cash Prizes based on 24 players, $200, $100, $50, Class Prize U1600 $70 and $30, Top Unrated $80. U1400 Cash Prizes based on 24 players, $120, $60, $30, Class Prize U1200 $50 and Top Unrated $50.
FREE entry for Grandmasters, International Masters, Womens Grandmasters and Foreign FIDE rated. One half point bye available. Must commit by round two.
