Adults: 3SS, G45, EF $10, ( may be changed to 4SS, G/30 depending on # of entries) Rds.:11am,1pm,2:30pm.

$50 first prize guaranteed!

Scholastic: 1-4pm Round Robin-Play as many games as possible in 3 hrs!

EF$5, Trophies for 1st place rated and non-rated. All Scholastic players will receive a prize!

PAWNMASTER OPEN HOUSE - BUFFALO LIB 2013






The PawnMaster Open House at the Buffalo Central Library, held in loving memory of David W. Mc Duffie, aka "PawnMaster", brother of Cheryl and Michael Mc Duffie, aka Chess Ambassador, a monthly sunday urban chess event, featuring 4 games, game 40, Swiss, attracted over 14 players.

The final results were undefeated Champion, Autry Britton, a new comer from New York City, 2nd Place Tie - Owen Miller and James Brown. Top High School Scholastic - Kevin Roulhac and Top Junior Scholastic - Shaka Davis.

Dan Allen wins in Sardinia

  Dan Allen made the trip from Buffalo a successful one and won the Sardinia 3 round swiss last Saturday.  Allen beat Ryan Palmisano, Ben Rummell, and Ryan Madden to win the $50 first prize. Pat Patterson, Zach Madden tied with Ryan Madden for 2nd with 2 wins. Austin Kossow also had 2 wins and won the u1300 prize. Other participants were Nathan Palmisano, Todd Thompson, and Max Peters.<p>
 Ben Rummell went undefeated to win the rated scholastic section over Douglas Ward, Todd Thompson, Jeff Schalberg, and Max Peters.  Chris Ward won the unrated trophy over Ethen Warner and Garrett Rumfola.<p>

GAME SCHEDULES start at 9:30am, 11:30am, 1:15pm and 3:00pm. Scholastics must report by 10am, Games start at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm and 1:30pm. USCF membership is REQUIRED! Please bring chess set, chess board and digital chess clock.

Late! Not paid, arrivals must accept one half non playing point and must wait for the next game.
