You are invited to join us for the final session of the Buffalo Chess Open House at the Buffalo Downtown Central Library on Sunday, May 18th from Noon till 4:30pm.

As we plan to continue summer chess events in the downtown Buffalo area, please join The Archangel 8 Chess Academy and the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library to grow Chess in WNY!

Doors open at Noon, Games start at 12:30pm until 4:30pm. Please be prepared to play three to four games in a tournament format, please bring your chess set, board and digital chess clock, limited supply available.

2014 USCF ARMED FORCES DAY - GAME 50 - SAT MAY 17TH FINAL NOTICE



The Archangel 8 Chess Academy will host the 2014 USCF Armed Forces Day Open Chess Tournament on Sat May 17th at the Main Place Mall, Upper Level, 390 Main St, Buffalo NY.

Registrations are being accepted with full name, uscf number, section and telephone to KNIGHTSOF64@YAHOO.COM by midnight, May 16th. PIZZA and REFRESHMENTS PROVIDED FOR ALL PAID TOURNAMENT PLAYERS!

SECTIONS - Three Sections are Adult Open, U1600 and Scholastic K-9.

Adult Open and U1600 sections will be dual rated, Four games, Game 50 with 4 second delay. Scholastics K-9 will have four games, Not USCF rated, Game 30 with 5 second delay. All Scholastic players must report by 9:30am, Games will start at 10am till 2pm.

ADULT OPEN AND U1600 - USCF membership is required! All players must report by 9am, Games will start at 9:15am, 11:30am, 1:15pm and 3pm.

ENTRY FEES for Adult Open is $25 and U1600 will be $15.00, Scholastic Players $10.00 with registrations by midnight to Knightsof64@yahoo.com.
