INAUGURAL DAVID W. MC DUFFIE INTERNATIONAL MEMORIAL CLASSIC 2013 RESULTS



Twenty two players with 40 games played, ventured out to support the Inaugural David W. Mc Duffie "Pawn Master" Memorial Classic 2013 held at the Main Place Mall in downtown Buffalo NY. Out of town visitors were from Ithaca NY and Toronto Canada. Late reporting due to a death in the family.

The results of the Pawn Master U1500 Section were Undefeated Champion - Samuel E. Santora, 2nd Place - Robert Simpson, Esq. and 3rd Place tie were Robert Hughes and Vic Bahl.

The WENDY's Restaurant "UPSET LEADERS" were Robert Hughes (1150) with 134 points, Samuel Santora (1424) with 25 points and Christopher Roland (1412) with 20 points.

Results of the International Open Section were Undefeated Champion - Ithaca New York, Thomas Riccardi (2264), 2nd Place - National Master, Lionel L. Davis (2273) and 3rd Place Tie from Toronto Ontario Canada Ferdinand Supsup (1800) and Ruperto Frilles (2101).

The WENDY's Restaurant "UPSET LEADERS" were Ferdinand Supsup (1800) with 708.5 points, Matthew Peck (1528) with 170 points, Brian Sayers (1592) with 155 points, James P. Davis (1498) with 143 points, Supsup with 150.5 points, Supsup with 85 points and Brian Sayers with 49 points.

This is a USCF Sanctioned, Two Sections - OPEN and U1500, 4 Dual Rated games, Time Controls are Game 50 with a 5 second delay. USCF Membership is required!

NEW STARTING TIMES! All CHESS players must report by 9am. NEW STARTING TIMES - GAMES START at 9:15am, 11:30am, 1:15pm and 3pm.

OPEN Entry Fee is $25 v $30, OPEN CASH PRIZES based on 18 players will be $200, 100 and $60. U1500 Entry Fee is $15 v $20, U1500 CASH PRIZES based on 15 players will be $120, $60 and $30.

QueensKnight Chess Club - Hispanic Month Chess Tournament




Date and Time: Saturday, September 14th, first round to start promptly at 10:00am. Awards to follow at approximately 3:00pm

Location: Global Concepts Charter School (cafeteria) located at 1001 Ridge Rd., Lackawanna NY 14218

Sections: All sections are USCF rated and are open to both scholastic and non-scholastic players. USCF memberships may be purchased at the tournament.

Awards: Medals for top 3 in each section

Rounds and Game Time: 4ss Rounds G/45 (5 second delay if annotating)

Entrance Fee: $5.00 if registered 12 hours before start time, email registrations are accepted. $10.00 for late entries or walk ins.

Please bring a lunch, there are several restaurants and fast food places located nearby.

Monday Night Chess in the Village!


Beginning September 9th, come join tournament director Mr.Cirillo every Monday (except holidays) from 6:30 til' 8:00pm at the Williamsville Panera located at 5311 Main St.

Bring a board, grab a cup of coffee, and learn to play chess in a comfortable atmosphere. Lessons are free and informal. Chess Novices, Intermediates, and Aficionados alike are welcomed at Panera Bread.
