STARS OF INDIA CHESS CLUB GROWS!

The Stars of India Chess Club which meets every thursday night at the Audubon library in Amherst New York has had its largest class which met on Thursday, August 18, 2011.

Fourteen players participate in the Topic of The Endgame. We also have seen other girls in numbers participate. Some of these players have given indications that they will participate in the August Summer Chess Festival 2011.

The August Chess Festival has also some reservations from players coming from Pennsylvania in the Scholastic and U1500 sections.

Dr Mark Mieth and Ron Lohrman are both up for election with the New York State Chess Association, Inc., as Upstate Directors which have term limits of one year and must be in good standing and live in a zip code above 12000. You must register to vote by going to www.nysca.net. The New York State Chess Association, Inc. America's oldest chess organization, is a not for profit organization dedicated to promoting chess in New York State at all levels. As the State Affiliate of the United States Chess Federation, its Directors also serve as USCF Voting Members and Delegates.We should support our upstate Board of Directors! GET OUT THE VOTE!
