Who Will Win This Weekend?

After losing to NM Lionel Davis at last month's Main Place Mall Tournament, IM Ken Regan threw down the gauntlet (but in a gentlemanly manner on this blog) by saying, "...looks like Lionel need not fear the emergence this year of us titled company. Next time, he's the marked man to beat!" Well Regan found his target and backed up his words by beating both of the National Masters with the last name Davis- Lionel and Barry at this year's Mayor's Cup. Will one of these three win or will the Canadian IM Brian Hartman complete his breakthrough return to competitive chess to claim this month's Grand Prix title and cash prize? Oh, by the way, us lesser lights can play too. Here are the details:

• Featuring International Master Brian Hartman of Canada
• 4 Rounds, Swiss System, Game/45 except Round 4 which is G/60
• Rounds start at 9:30am, 11:15AM, 1PM and 2:30pm
• Sections: Grand Prix Guaranteed MONEY, 1st Place $250, 2nd $150, 3rd Place $120., EF $40 early vs. $50 CASH ONLY ONSITE
• U1600, EF $30 v $35, 1st place $150, 2nd $90, 3rd Place $60 (Based upon 20 entries)
• U1200 Section, EF $20 v $25, $150 - $90 - $60 (Based upon 20 entries)
• Hal Payne Scholastic Section: EF$15.00, 5 Rounds, Game 30, Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place.Rounds begin at 10am, 11am, Noon, 1pm and 2pm
