WOW! WOW! Anand up by 3!

It is getting worse for former World Champion Kramnik. He lost again today. I think this casteling thing is over rated!

  1. Well the castling is surprising.

Out of the 6 games, Anand did not castle in 4 of them. Out of these 4 games that he did not castle, he won 3.

  2. Here is Dennis Monokroussos' running commentary. Whether Black could have held up to move 35, especially by 33...Re8(!), may be fascinating to analyze.

Monokroussos will have a full replayable game board with analysis up sometime.

  3. Yes, 33...Re8 seems to win back one of the pawn. I guess with ...Re8 white's idea is to take on d2 and then regain the pawn on e3.
If 34.Re2 then 34...Ng3 35.Rf2 and here also black wins back the e3 pawn.

Still black will be a pawn down, but looks better than the game continuation atleast.
