Patterson wins in Sardinia

Albert (Pat) Patterson defeated Ryan Madden, Ryan Palmisano, and Nathan Palmisano to win the Sardinia Tournament last Saturday. Congrats to Pat for his fine play.

In the scholastic section Ryan Palmisano won with 7.5pts. Sam santora scored 7 to finish 2nd, while Nathan Palmisano got 6 for 3rd place.

Also competing were Zach Madden, James Lyon, Nate and Nick Schiener, Nick Brennan, Max Peters, Lucas Grisanti, and newcomer Anderson Miles. Next tournament Nov. 6.

Also keep in mind the USA Jr. Chess Olympics will be held Sat Dec 4th at the Pioneer Middle School, Yorkshire NY. (about 45 mins from Buffalo). There will be team and individual prizes in 2 sections, K-6 and 7-12. There will also be a non-rated section. Coaches, start getting your teams ready!
