Main Place Mall - Upper Level 390 Main Street Buffalo NY 14202 Saturday, September 20th, October 18th, November 15th and December 20th, 2008 EVERY THIRD SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH! NEW $10.00 REVISED LOWER ENTRY FEES for U1600 and U1200 Sections for the month of September! USCF Open rated chess tournament. Four rounds, Swiss Format Game/45 except last round Game/60. Registration from 8:30am until 9:15am. First matches start at 9:30am, Rd 2 at 11:15am, Rd 3 at 1:00pm, Round 4 (Game 60) at 2:30pm. Each participant must be or must become a USCF member to participate. Can join onsite for additional fee. USCF Rules enforced including writing moves. Open Grand Prix Section has Guaranteed Cash Prizes - 1st Place $200, 2nd Place $100 and 3rd Place $60.00. Entry fee $50.00 with cash only onsite.

The U1600 and U1200 Sections, at the new reduced Entry Fee of $10.00, have Cash Prizes based upon entries. For example if 20 entries in a section then 1st Place $60, 2nd Place $40, and 3rd Place $20.00.

Hal Payne Scholastic Section also has a New Lower entry fee of $8.00, and is a 5 round Swiss, Game/30. Rounds start at 10am, 11am, Noon, 1pm and 2pm. Prizes: Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Written notations optional. Advance entries are greatly appreciated, but must be received no later than 7 days prior to the tournament.
