Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada Open March 3 &4

I have just received word that the annual Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada Open will once again be at the Shriner's Club the weekend of March 3 and 4th. There is an entry fee ($40 Canadian) and you must become a member of the Canadian Chess Federation (presently $36 Canadian/year) to participate, but it is a well run event and worth the trip and expense. Three of us from this side of the border went last year. I can strongly recommend participating, especially for our better players as the competitors there are quite strong.

As this event begins on the first Saturday of March and since there was no available venue for the Free first Saturday event for March, I will not hold a first Saturday event on our side of the border.
