Come out and join us during the Christmas holiday and winter break to establish a USCF National Chess Team and Elementary Chess Club at the Charles A. Upson Elementary School. PARENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO STAY AND ASSIST with the tournament. Students are urged to bring a brown bag lunch, beverage and snacks.

FORMAT: OPEN TO All 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade chess players. Must know Check and Checkmate, all will play four games, No elimination, each game will be allotted (Game 30 with 5 second delay)one hour in duration and USCF rules enforced. Sections maybe combined depending on the entries! TROPHIES, MEDALS AND APPLEBEES OF LOCKPORT PRIZES will be awarded.
WHEN: Monday, December 30, 2013, ALL PLAYERS MUST REPORT by 8:45am. GAMES start at 9:15am.
ADVANCE ENTRY FEE: Upson students $8.00, all others are $10.00 or $15.00 at the door. Helps reduce the expenses for trophies, medals and other prizes. CASH payments will only be accepted at the door.
