USMC Vietnam War Hero, Guy Allegretto lives in WNY and his Marine Unit - 1st Battalion, 9th Marines were known as the "Walking Dead" received two Presidential Unit Citations from President Lyndon Johnson in 1967 and 1968. The Citation reads for extraordinary heroism in action during the Battle for Khe Sanh in the Republic of Vietnam.

Format: Four USCF Sanctioned dual rated games, Game 50 with 5 second delay, No elimination. USCF Membership is required for the OPEN and U1500 Sections. ALL registrations can be made online to KNIGHTSOF64@YAHOO.COM by midnight on Thursday, November 14, 2013 with full name, USCF number, Section and phone. All checks must be received no later than Thursday, November 14th. Please mail and make checks payable to The Archangel 8 Chess Academy, 60F Guilford Lane, Buffalo, NY 14221. All USCF chess players must bring a chess set, chess board and digital chess clock. Chess equipment provided for Scholastic section players.
Beginners Scholastic K-12 Unrated Section, will feature FOUR games of play, Games 30 with 5 second delay, No elimination. All Scholastic players must report by 9:30am, Games will start at 10am, 11am, Noon and 1pm. TROPHIES were sponsored by the Willie Hutch Jones Educational and Sports Programs. Trophies will be awarded.
CASH PRIZES awarded for OPEN and U1500 sections. OPEN CASH Prizes based on 18 players, Entry Fee - $25 or $30 - $200, $100 and $60. U1500 CASH Prizes based on 15 players, Entry Fee is $15 or $20 - $120, $60 and $30.
