The Buffalo Teachers Federation, Inc., Juneteenth Scholastic Chess Festival and The ARCHANGEL 8 CHESS ACADEMY will host the 2014 US Chess Federation SUMMER CHESS FESTIVAL on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Main Place Mall, Upper Level, 390 Main St, Buffalo NY.

The Archangel 8 Chess Academy is celebrating over 15 years of Educational Enrichment Youth Chess programs in WNY.
FORMAT - Each USCF chess player in the OPEN and U1600 will play Four, USCF sanctioned dual rated games, Game 50 with a five second delay. SCHOLASTIC "WORLD CUP" (K - 9) STARS(Non rated) will play four games, USCF rules enforced, Game 30 with a five second delay.
CURRENT USCF MEMBERSHIPS are required for the OPEN and U1600 Sections. USCF rated players must bring a chess set, chess board and digital clock.
ONLINE ADVANCE REGISTRATIONS - Must be received by Midnight, Thursday, June 19 with reply to Knightsof64@yahoo.com.
OPEN AND U1600 USCF players must report by 9am, Games will start at 9:15am, 11:30am, 1:15pm and 3pm.
SCHOLASTIC WOLD CUP STARS, must report by 9:30am, Games will start at 10am, 11am, Noon and 1pm. Awards Ceremony will follow after 2pm with group and individual photos.
CASH PRIZES FOR OPEN AND U1600 - $670.00 BASED ON 36 PAID PLAYERS!
OPEN CASH PRIZES based on 18 players, Entry fee $25 v. $35 Cash at the door - $200 - $100 - $60, TOP U1900 - $75.00.
U1600 CASH PRIZES based on 18 players, Entry Fee $15 v. $20 Cash at the door - $130 - $60 - $30.
SCHOLASTIC WORLD CUP STARS, Entry fee is $10 or $15 Cash at the door. TROPHIES AWARDED BY THE BUFFALO TEACHERS FEDERATION, INC.
