Next Tournament

NATIONAL CHESS DAY CELEBRATION 2011

Presented by Garnell W. Whitfield, Jr, City of Buffalo Fire Commissioner and The Archangel 8 Chess Academy will host a National USCF Chess Day Celebration at the Buffalo and Erie County Central Library, 2ND Floor, located on Lafayette Street in downtown Buffalo, NY on Sunday, October 9th, 2011.

This tournament is for ALL CHESS PLAYERS, USCF RATED AND NON Members! THIS IS A FREE OPEN RATED TOURNAMENT. Come and place 3 to 4 games, Swiss, USCF Rated, Game 30. All players must be registered by 12:30pm and all games will start at 1pm, 1:30pm, 2pm, 2:30pm and 3pm.

Please bring chess set, chess board and digital chess clock. USCF memberships must be current for rated games.

Awards will be presented to the TOP ADULT USCF MEMBER, TOP YOUTH GIRL CHAMPION, TOP CATHOLIC SCHOOL CHAMPION, TOP ELEMENTARY CHAMPION, TOP MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAMPION, TOP HIGH SCHOOL CHAMPION, TOP SENIOR 65+ CHAMPION, TOP FEMALE CHAMPION AND TOP COLLEGIATE CHAMPION.

Advance registration is greatly appreciated with reply to arcangel8chess@yahoo.com with full name, USCF number, telephone number and section of play by Midnight, October 8, 2011.
