This is a last chance to register for the upcoming World Chess Federation Buffalo Fall FIDE Chess Festival on Saturday, October 15th and Sunday, October 16th, 2011 at the Gloria J Parks Community Center, 3242 Main Street, Buffalo, NY.
International Master, Kenneth Regan, Ph.D, 2010 and 2011 Mayor's Cup FIDE undefeated Champion, has asked me to invite all the Open and FIDE rated chess player to join us this weekend for this two day special event which kick-offs the Fall Chess season and National Chess Month. US Chess Federation membership is REQUIRED! If you register in advance by Midnight on Wednesday, October 12th with reply to arcangel8chess@yahoo.com, the advance reduced entry fee is $60.00 vs $75.00 Cash at the door.
The FIDE Schedule is Saturday at 10am, 2:30pm and 7pm, Sunday at 9:30am and 2pm. FIDE Cash Prizes are $400, $150, $100, U2100 - $125 and U1800 - $100. Format for the FIDE Open is 10 Enhanced Grand Prix points, 5 Rounds, Swiss, FIDE and USCF rated, Game 120.
The U1500 advance reduced entry fee of $$30 v $35 Cash at the door. The U1500 section only plays on Saturday, October 15th Only! The format for the U1500 is 5 Rounds, Swiss, Game 50, Games start at 10am, Noon, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm. Cash prizes are $100, $80 and $60.00.
Fall Youth Chess Festival will be on Saturday, October 15th ONLY! 4 Games, Swiss, Game 30. Two sections are The Urban Queens (Non USCF players) and USCF Scholastic Open players. Players must register in advance by Midnight, Wednesday, October 12th with full name, USCF number and telephone number to arcangel8chess@yahoo.com. Games start at 11am, Noon, 1pm and 2pm.
All Chess players must bring chess set, chess board and digital chess clock.
