AUGUST CAN/AM CANCELLED

Due to low turn out the August Can-Am was cancelled.

    Michael,

    Did this take place ? I came
    over at around 12:30 pm and
    the doors were locked and no
    one around.

    Alas, when I came just before 10:30am and stayed until 11am it was just I and a few stalwarts besides Michael, so we called it off. A pity I missed my old friend Neal Goldberg at the July event.

    Ken,

    A pity. I spoke with Neal and
    though I did not know him, I knew
    of him during our overlapping time
    as Grad. students in CS. We shared
    some stories of Col. George
    Sicherman. Neal says he still in
    touch with the Colonel and
    occasionally plays blitz against
    him (as he tells it, somewhat
    unsuccessfully).
