Vance Williams is in the middle of an impressive run over the past several months. It is only fitting that he is our new city champion.
ReplyDeleteI still remember when he was eleven years old giving a simul against ten players from the UB chess club back in the early nineties.
I think he beat them all.
Congratulations Vance. It couldn't have happened to a nicer person. And you've made us all very proud.
Keep up the good work.

ReplyDeleteKudos to the new King of Buffalo chess!
ReplyDeleteBack in the nineties we affectionately called him "grasshopper" when was still in middle school.
Now he is a grown man.
Congrats Vance!!
