Patterson wins in Sardinia

Albert(Pat) Patterson(left) won the Sardinia Swiss tournament last Saturday. Patterson was in fine form,defeating Todd Thompson, Ryan Madden in a sharp Goring gambit, and then Mike Jocko in the final. Jocko and Madden tied for 2nd while Zach Madden won the u800 prize by beating Thompson in a playoff. Mike Jocko's daughter Katy also participated in her first tournament. Welcome to the USCF Katy!

    Nice Job, Pat!
    Would you mind posting the game against Madden? The goring gambit is a very interesting opening and I'd love to see how the game played out!
