BUFFALO SUMMER CHESS FESTIVAL 2011

The Archangel 8 Chess Academy is Celebrating over 10 years of Educational Enrichment Chess Programs for Young Students.

The August Summer Chess Festival is presented by Garnell W. Whitfield Jr, City of Buffalo, Fire Commissioner and The Archangel 8 Chess Academy. Held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Gloria J Parks Community Center, 3242 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14214.

USCF membership is required for this 4 Rounds, Swiss, Game 60 with $915.00 in Guaranteed Cash Prizes. Please bring your chess set, chess board and digital chess clock.

Guaranteed Cash Prizes are as follows; Open section $200 - $150 - $100, U2100 - $125 and U1800 - $100. Star Scholastics awarded Trophies to Top Female, Top Catholic and Top 5 winners. Urban Queens Section - Not USCF members.

Chess Schedules - Registration from 9am to 9:30am, Games start at 10am, 12:30pm, 3pm and 5:30pm. Scholastic players will play 4 Games, Swiss, Game 30, starts at 11am, Noon, 1pm and 2pm.

Discounted Entry Fees are Open - $40 v $55, U1500 - $25 v $35, Scholastics $10 v $15 Cash USD at the door.
