SPRING OPEN CLASSIC 2012

Hosted by the Buffalo Fire Commissioner, Garnell W. Whitfield, Jr. and The Archangel 8 Chess Academy, celebrating 12 years of Educational Enrichment Youth Chess Programs!

Saturday, April 14, 2012, held at the Main Place Mall, 390 Main St, Buffalo, NY. Free Parking under the Mall. Food Court and gift shops are open during the tournament.

This is a USCF dual rated chess tournament for USCF members. Can join the USCF at the site for an additional membership fee. All players are to bring chess set, chess board and digital chess clock. USCF rules are enforced!

Advance registrations are greatly appreciated! NEW! Advance entry fee of $15 vs $25 Cash at the door. Advance registrations must be received by midnight on Friday, April 13,2012 with full name, USCF number, section and telephone number.

Format will be three games, no elimination, Game 60 with a 5 second delay, USCF rated, Three sections; OPEN, U1500 & Scholastic K-12. PIZZA and Refreshments for all tournament players!

All players must report by 9:30am, All games will start at 10am. Scholastics will play four games, Game 30 with a 5 second delay. USCF rated with a minimum of 4 players.

Cash Prizes for Open and U1500 are $75, $35 and $15 based on 22 players! Scholastic players will be awarded Chess Medals for top 5 players!
