SAVE THE DATE! SATURDAY, JUNE 6TH and 7TH, 2009

The Third Annual Mayor's Cup and WNY Class Championships will take place at Buffalo State College's Campbell Student Union, 1300 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14222 on Saturday and Sunday June 6-7, 2009. Once again it will be presented by Buffalo State College Student Affairs in conjunnction with the Archangel 8 Chess Academy.

Sections, Entry fees, and Prizes:

• Master's Open: 15 Point (enhanced) Grand Prix $35 preregistration or $55 onsite, Guaranteed Cash Prizes $300, $225 and $150. The "Mayor's Cup" Trophy to the top WNY area finisher in this section.
• U1500 $$30 or $45 onsite, Cash prizes based on 15 entries; $200, $100 and $$75.
• U1200 $25 or $35 onsite, Cash prizes based on 15 entries; $$125, $90 and $50.
• Elementary and Middle Entry fee: $5.00 includes Pizza and beverage. Awards Individuals, Team Medals and Trophies for Top 3 winners
• High School Championships; Entry fee $15.00, includes Pizza and beverage. Awards Individuals, Team Medals and Trophies for Top 3 winners.

Time Control and Round Schedule:

• Master's Open. Game/120 FIDE rated Saturday 9:30am, 2:30pm and 7:30pm. Sunday, 9:30am and 2:30pm.
• U1500 Section & U1200, Game/90 at 9:30am, 1:30pm, & 5:30pm, Sun. 10am and 2pm.
• Saturday Scholastics: Elementary, Middle and High School Sections, Five rounds, Game/30.

Please include full name, USCF ID number, rating and section of play. Titles will be awarded at each rating level. Titles are only given to those in the Western, NY Area only.
