The annual Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada Open will once again be at the Shriner's Club this weekend. There is an entry fee ($45 Canadian) and you must be or become a member of the Canadian Chess Federation (presently $36 Canadian/year) to participate, but it is a well run event and worth the trip and expense. Place: Niagara Shrine Club, 5621 North Street, Niagara Falls, Ontario (Next to Greater Niagara General Hospital)
Rds: 5 Type: Swiss Times: Sat: 9 AM, 1 PM & 6 PM, Sun: 10 AM, ASAP TC: Rd. 1, 90 SD, Rds. 2-5, 30/90, 60 SD
EF: $45 but Seniors (65+) and Juniors (<18)>
Prizes: $$BEN, Unrated Participants, only eligible for unrated prize only, if applicable
Reg: Email entries up to March 28th to jeswifty@hotmail.com. On site registration between 8 AM and 8:45 AM, late fee of $5. Cash only at site.
Misc: Bring Chess sets and clocks. Food and drink can be purchased at site. Site is Non Smoking. CFC Membership required and can be purchased on site. Please bring proof of age for junior/senior discounts. As many as 2 half point byes available for rounds 1-3. This event is a SWOCL GRAND PRIX EVENT.
